چکیده
The pyrolysis of medlar seeds was performed at 350, 450, 550, and 650 °C with without K2CO3, MgO, expanded perlite (10 wt%). maximum dichloromethane extract yield (6.70 wt%) obtained 450 in the experiments catalyst, while bio-oil (50.3 presence perlite. yields decreased noticeably use MgO K2CO3. bio-oils from non-catalytic runs mainly consisted phenolic compounds. catalysts had a noticeable effect on composition higher heating values bio-oils. K2CO3 increased relative content 2-methoxyphenol all tested temperatures 2,6-dimethoxyphenol 2,6-dimethoxy-4-methylphenol above 550 °C, led to an increase °C. value (30.4 MJ/kg) This study showed that are good alternative source waste biomass production can be used as biofuel.

Pyrolysis of Seaweeds for Bio-oil and Bio-char Production
A pyrolysis study on a species of brown algae Saccharina japonica was carried out in a fixed-bed reactor. The yields of bio-oil and bio-char obtained at 450 C were 47 % and 33 %, respectively. The raw S, japonica, ethanol and acid pretreated samples and the resulting pyrolysis products were also characterized with respect to proximate and ultimate analysis, and higher heating value. The crude b...
متن کاملUpgrading of Pyrolysis Bio-oil: A Review
The increase in the population of the planet and the rapid economic growth and, consequently, the high consumption of energy has created many environmental problems in the globe. Due to these reasons and the lack of renewability of these fossil fuels, there has been a steep trend towards the production of renewable fuels from natural sources, one of which is the production of energy from biomas...
متن کاملReduction of the Variety of Phenolic Compounds in Bio-oil via the Catalytic Pyrolysis of Pine Sawdust
The objective of this study was to evaluate phenolic compounds produced from the catalytic pyrolysis of pine sawdust by commercial catalysts. Eight types of commercial catalysts consisting of SiO2, montmorillonite, α-Fe2O3, HZSM-5 (Si:Al = 25:1), ZnO, γ-Fe2O3, HZSM-5 (Si:Al = 50:1), and nanoHZSM-5 (Si:Al = 50:1) were screened in a fixed bed reactor at a reaction temperature of 500 °C and a vapo...
متن کاملSynthesis of Bio-aromatics from Black Liquors Using Catalytic Pyrolysis
Bio-aromatics (benzene, toluene, xylenes, BTX) were prepared by the catalytic pyrolysis of six different black liquors using both in situ and ex situ approaches. A wide range of catalysts was screened and conditions were optimized in microscale reactors. Up to 7 wt % of BTX, based on the organic fraction of the black liquors, was obtained for both the in situ and ex situ pyrolysis (T = 500-600 ...
متن کاملOptimization of Bark Fast Pyrolysis for the Production of Phenol-Rich Bio-oil
Bark is one of the most under-utilized types of lignocellulosic biomass in the forest industry. In this study, bark fast pyrolysis was optimized for phenols yield using response surface methodology (RSM), considering the pyrolysis temperature, gas flow rate, and biomass particle size. The bio-oil generated under optimal conditions was then characterized by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (...
